Mayzo Has Announced a New President, Eduardo Padilla, and Vice President of Global Operations, Garry Schoolcraft

Mayzo Inc. has announced a new President, Eduardo Padilla, and Vice President of Global Operations, Garry Schoolcraft. With these promotions, the company’s carefully devised succession plan has come to fruition. Padilla and Schoolcraft are joined by James H. Jones, Chief Financial Officer, in Mayzo’s Top Executive ranks. Founder/Owner Ben Milazzo has retained the role of Chairman of the Board, while Valarie Milazzo has been elevated to Vice Chairman.

Eduardo Padilla was recruited by Mayzo 3 ½ years ago after a career spanning over 25 years at Ciba Specialty Chemicals and BASF. “With Eduardo, we found a passionate leader with technical expertise in our additive chemistries, plus a strong global sales background. Even more intriguing, here he was, working at the industry’s largest manufacturer in a role where he was in charge of their distribution network. He understood both of those sales models. We were able to convince him that Mayzo’s approach derives the best of both manufacturing and distribution. In our private-label model, our focus is exclusively on our customers’ needs. Eduardo “got” the advantages of that approach immediately. He is the perfect leader to carry forward Mayzo’s traditions of customer-centric service and innovation,” said Founder/Chairman Ben Milazzo. Prior to his promotion to President, Padilla was Mayzo’s Vice President of Global Sales and Service.

Garry Schoolcraft has been with Mayzo over 5 years, excelling at roles in Operations, Engineering and Strategic Growth. Prior to joining Mayzo, Schoolcraft served in the U.S. Air Force and then gained further supply chain management experience at companies like Del-Jen and Habasit. “Garry is a highly effective, practical leader who develops strong working relationships and gets things done in a very resourceful way,” explained Milazzo.

“We are impressed with the quality processes and strong management team Garry has instituted at our new Operations Center in Walterboro SC. Under his leadership, we will be announcing expanded production capabilities for our customers this Fall. Garry is well-deserving of this promotion to Vice President.”
