Mayfran Acquires Canadian Conveyor Firm
Mayfran International, a Cleveland, Ohio based manufacturer of engineered factory automation systems, has expanded its product capabilities with the acquisition of Press Room Techniques (PRT) of Lindsay, Ontario. PRT is the developer and manufacturer of a line of patented products that manage scrap in stamping operations. PRT's innovative "shuffle" conveyor systems, manufactured in Canada, complement Mayfran's current range of scrap handling solutions. PRT's products may be integrated into large automated scrap handling systems or used to eject scrap from automated stamping presses. The press mounted shuffle drive system offers significant improvements in reliability versus pneumatic and vibrating systems.
"The shuffle conveyor integrates well with existing Mayfran technology and allows us to bring an even more complete solution to our customers", says J.D. Sullivan, CEO of Mayfran. "We are pleased to become a part of the Mayfran organization are confident that the Company's global reach, extensive resources, and established presence in the metalforming industry will drive future growth of our products," comments Press Room Techniques founder Paul Tamlin, who along with his team will join Mayfran.
