Wireless Leader on Track for Lead-Free Compliance
LINDON, Utah - April 27, 2006 - MaxStream's XBee and XBee-PRO OEM RF ZigBee Modules are now compliant with international RoHS compliance standards. In accordance with the directive for the Restriction of Hazardous Substances, MaxStream has achieved compliance with its popular XBee product family.
MaxStream expects to implement across-the-board compliance with all its electronic components, including all 900 MHz and 2.4 GHz OEM RF modules before the July deadline.

The RoHS directive was established by the European Parliament and the Council of the European Union, requiring that electronics manufacturers not exceed new minimum acceptable levels of the following hazardous substances: lead, hexavalent chromium, mercury, polybrominated biphenyl, cadmium and polybrominated diphenyl ether.
