Original Press Release:

MAPI To Host Benefits and Occupational and Health Safety Forums

The Manufacturers Alliance/MAPI will host its annual Benefits Forum on Tuesday, June 5, 2007, as well as an Occupational Safety and Health Forum on Wednesday, June 6, 2007. The programs will run each day from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. (CDT) at the Hyatt Regency O Hare, Rosemont (Chicago), Illinois.

This is the 14th in a series of Benefits Forums and the inaugural Occupational Safety and Health Forum sponsored by the Alliance, a public policy and business research organization and a leading provider of executive education and peer networking programs. The Forums will promote more intensive and participatory dialogue and more personal peer networking than attendees generally experience at large-scale benefits and occupational safety and health conferences.

Participants will have the opportunity to engage in interactive discussion with fellow senior executives from corporations with leading-edge benefits models and highly successful health and safety programs, exchange applied best practices across industries in a collaborative, vendor-free setting, and enhance their knowledge base and problem-solving resources.

Selected program segments of the Benefits Forum will focus on experiences of companies that have implemented health savings accounts or health reimbursement accounts; how specific companies have changed, or are changing, their defined benefit and defined contribution plans; and best-in-class outsourcing of benefits and human resources administration.

Presentation and discussion topics of the Occupational Safety and Health Forum include key metrics for company-specific and global comparisons to drive safety and health improvement and for reporting to senior management; designing non-office ergonomics programs; and global audit protocols, including development of an audit system worldwide.

The program for each Forum also features the popular Manufacturers Alliance/MAPI roundtable discussion, in which attendees front burner issues are introduced for comment, thus offering the potential to identify solutions in a collegial group setting.

The registration fee for each Forum is $625 for MAPI member company executives and $800 for executives of non-member companies. The conference fee includes all meeting sessions, meeting agenda materials, welcoming reception on the evening preceding each Forum (Monday, June 4, for the Benefits Forum and Tuesday, June 5, for the Occupational Safety & Health Forum), and continental breakfast and luncheon on the day of the event.
