MAPI Announces Elections of Executive Committee Member, Addition to the Board of Trustees



The Manufacturers Alliance/MAPI, a leading business research and executive education organization, and advocate for manufacturing interests since 1933, announced the elections of an Executive Committee member and a member to its Board of Trustees.

John M. Stropki, chairman, president and chief executive officer of Lincoln Electric Holdings, Inc., and MAPI Board member, was elected to the Executive Committee. Lincoln Electric is the world leader in the design, development, and manufacture of arc welding products, robotic arc-welding systems, plasma, and oxyfuel cutting equipment, and holds a leading global position in the brazing and soldering alloys market. The company has its world headquarters in Cleveland, OH.

B.K. Chin, chief executive officer of Global Industries, Ltd., was elected to the Board of Trustees. Global Industries provides offshore construction, engineering and support services including pipeline construction, platform installation and removal, and diving services to the oil and gas industry in the Gulf of Mexico, West Africa, Asia Pacific, Middle East/India, South America, and Mexico's Bay of Campeche. The headquarters are in Carlyss, LA.
