Magtrol SA Acquires Reznicek & Hlach SA

Magtrol SA, a leading manufacturer of test and measurement equipment, has acquired the company Reznicek & Hlach SA on May, 1st 2007.
Founded in 1977 by Mr. Reznicek and Mr. Hlach, the company is active in developing and producing sensors for diverse force measurement applications ranging from miniature force transducers for the watch-making industry to complete force surveying solutions for cranes and cable transport systems. Based in Rossens (Fribourg), Switzerland, Reznicek & Hlach SA presently employs 13 people, mostly part-time.
Also based in Rossens/Fribourg (since relocating there in April, 2006), Magtrol SA employs 65 people on-site with 5 additional employees in sales offices throughout Europe. With their sister company in the USA, Magtrol is the worldwide leader in the domain of electric motor testing equipment and has a strong position in the market of torque, force and displacement sensors.
Mr. Jocelyn Cattin, General Manager of Magtrol SA, welcomes the new capabilities provided by Reznicek & Hlach's products and its employees. Through this acquisition, Magtrol will be able to expand their product offering and better serve their customers in the load, force and weight measurement fields.
Throughout their 30-year history, Reznicek & Hlach SA has always concentrated on close working relationships with their customers, often developing custom solutions for their specific applications. As a result, Reznicek & Hlach SA has developed an extensive range of sensors that measure nominal loads from one gram to several hundred tons.
In addition to finding a worthy successor in Magtrol SA, Mr. Reznicek and Mr. Hlach are very happy to also find a purchaser whom both ensures employment in Rossens as well as the continuation of their strong customer relationships.
Due to their large sales network and extended marketing activities, Magtrol SA is confident in the future promotion of Reznicek & Hlach's products.
Initially, both companies will run in parallel on both sites. However, the integration of Reznicek & Hlach's operations into the Magtrol building and organization should happen quickly.
