Lower Detection Limits with New Rxi®-5Sil MS Fused Silica Columns

Rxi®-5Sil MS columns are highly inert, ultra-low bleed capillary GC columns designed to improve trace-level analyses for a broad range of compounds. These new silarylene columns are similar in selectivity to a conventional 5% diphenyl/95% dimethyl polysiloxane column, but offer exceptional inertness and higher thermal stability. The new polymer chemistry and specialized cross-linking process create an exceptionally stable phase, allowing lower detection limits for many active compounds. This increased sensitivity is especially beneficial for GC/MS methods and trace-level analyses.

Rxi®-5Sil MS columns perform well across a broad range of analytes and are ideal for the analysis of low levels of aromatic compounds, such as polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons (PAHs). Rxi®-5Sil MS columns are available in a variety of dimensions to support labs needing either higher sample throughput or greater column capacity. Restek's tightly controlled manufacturing process and stringent quality standards result in a highly consistent product, column-to-column and lot-to-lot. Rxi®-5Sil MS columns consistently outperform competitors in terms of bleed, inertness, and reproducibility.
