Load Cell Manufacturer Flintec Launch New Website

Global load cell manufacturer Flintec has re-launched it’s website last month, after completely overhauling the design with a fresh modern look.

The new look site was designed to give customers a much smoother user experience and improve the existing lead generation and customer support functionalities.

Flintec produce a vast array of load cells and strain gauge electronics for use in devices ranging from industrial scales to industrial and agricultural vehicles.

As one of the world’s largest manufacturers of precision load cells, Flintec create bespoke force measurement devices for organisations around the globe.

Flintec pride themselves on being able to offer a full solution for their customers, rather than simply supplying individual load cells or components.

The firm predominantly manufacture load cells for six key industry areas – weighing machinery, process weighing, industrial/agricultural vehicles, medical devices, process automation control and test & measurement.

As part of creating a targeted user friendly resource, the site is now aligned with these six industry areas using specific sections for each type of application – making it significantly easier for users to navigate.

One of the most striking aspects of the design is the integration of video; the site contains seven video clips that demonstrate Flintec’s manufacturing and product capabilities.

Excluding the introductory video on the home page, the videos were also developed to offer industry specific information to the sectors that Flintec supply.

The overall look and feel of the website has now been brought in line with Flintec’s current branding, utilising the eye-catching red of their logo.

The site also contains various modernisations such as expanding drop-down menus and search functions that provide a much more contemporary user experience.

Another key feature is the site now utilises responsive design which means the site structure and appearance will change depending on the screen size it is being viewed on.

This helps to ensure that mobile and tablet users are being provided with a much better user experience.

The makeover was undertaken by Dorset based web marketing agency – Intergage. The firm also created the original site back in 2004.

Project Manager, Andy Galliers, oversaw the redesign at Intergage and said “Flintec are one of our longest standing clients and it’s always a pleasure to work in partnership with them.”

He added “We’re really pleased with how the site has turned out. Particularly the way we’ve been able to integrate their new video guides in to the design and make it fully responsive.”

While Flintec have distribution facilities in a number of key international locations, their previous website was targeted at both English and German speaking customers.

Having a German web resource is particularly important to Flintec as it allows them to engage with a key geographical market.

The language switch functionality of the old site has therefore also been fully incorporated into the new design.

Group Managing Director, David Weeks noted how pleased he was with the site and stated “We’re really happy that the site now reflects our branding much closer and we’ve been able to add a number of extra features that make it much more engaging for our customers”.

He added “We wanted the site to be really easy to navigate through, particularly for the key sectors that Flintec target. I think that we’ve achieved this and with the inclusion of our sector specific videos, we’ve got a great looking interactive resource for our customers.”

Flintec will continue to expand the content of the new website with the inclusion of a new corporate video planned for this month. It will then be followed by Spanish, Italian, French and Portuguese language versions of the site later in the year.
