NEMA's linear fluorescent lamp shipments indexes continued their year-over-year decline in Q4 2015. After 7 consecutive quarters of decline, index for T12 lamps posted 4.2 quarter-over-quarter increase but declined 17.4% from Q4 2014. T8 and T5 shipments also continued to decline, respectively decreasing by 13.4% and 9.3% on year-over-year basis. In Q4 2015, T8 lamps accounted for 72.4% share of fluorescent lamp shipments, T12 lamps held 16.8% share, and T5 lamps claimed 10.7%.

Linear Fluorescent Lamp Indexes Continue Year-Over-Year Decline
NEMA’s linear fluorescent lamp shipments indexes continued their year-over-year decline in 2015Q4. After declining for seven consecutive quarters, the index for T12 lamps posted a 4.2 quarter-over-quarter increase, but declined 17.4 percent from fourth quarter 2014. T8 and T5 shipments also continued to decline, decreasing by 13.4 and 9.3 percent, respectively, on a year-over-year basis.
T8 lamps accounted for a 72.4 percent share of fluorescent lamp shipments in 2015Q4, with T12 lamps claiming a 16.8 percent share and T5 lamps a 10.7 percent share.
