Lincoln Electric Opens Second Distribution and Training Center in Chicago

Cleveland - The Lincoln Electric Company, the world leader in the design, development and manufacture of arc welding products, has opened a new regional distribution and training center in Chicago. Late last year, the first facility was opened in Atlanta, Ga.

The new facility combines sales, distribution, training and demonstration of advanced arc welding products all under one roof. The 110,000+-square-foot Chicago center allows customers to demonstrate, learn and select equipment with hands-on training and demonstration during the buying decision process. It also provides continuing education for existing customers, distributors and the public.

"The center is designed to ease the purchasing process for customers, increase awareness of welding technologies and improve on-going customer service. The center is staffed with technical support representatives trained to help customers make informed decisions and maximize their use of Lincoln equipment," said Richard Seif, senior vice president for sales and marketing.

"This center allows customers to choose their welding equipment, learn how to use it right out of the box and have it delivered all from the same facility," he said. "No one else in this industry does this, and we believe it will be an enormous benefit to our consumers."

Product demonstrations include a wide variety of applications from large, industrial robotics and software monitoring equipment, to small user-friendly equipment for repair shops, farming or hobbyists. Lincoln Electric also provides a variety of plasma cutters, consumables, fume extraction systems and welding accessories.

The new Chicago center is located at 115 E Crossroads Parkway, Suite A, Bolingbrook, IL 60440, (888) 935-3880. The facility is open from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday.

The Lincoln Electric Company, headquartered in Cleveland, Ohio, is the world leader in the design, development and manufacture of arc welding products, robotic arc-welding systems, plasma and oxyfuel cutting equipment and has a leading global position in the brazing and soldering alloys market.
