LEWCO Announces New Supervisor to Oversee ISO Corrective and Preventive Action Procedures

LEWCO, Inc. is pleased to announce that as of December 1st, 2014, new shift supervisor, Brian Gonzales, will administer the company ISO Corrective and Preventive Action procedures. Gonzales joined the LEWCO team in October of 2014 and comes to LEWCO with over 16 years of experience in the automotive industry.

According to LEWCO Director of Operations, Mark Parker, “[Gonzales will be handling the duties of Corrective and Preventive Action per ISO QM 8.5.2 and 8.5.3, and QS 8.5.2 and 8.5.3. He comes to LEWCO with considerable experience in the ISO realm, specifically dealing with corrective actions in previous ISO certified companies. Brian has many good ideas that I believe will result in positive change within the next couple months.”

LEWCO has been ISO certified since December of 2007 and the accreditation is an integral part of the company’s customer value proposition. Product quality, on-time delivery, excellent customer service and competitive prices allow LEWCO to be an industry leader. Having experienced members, like Gonzales, on the LEWCO team is essential for continued company growth.

According to Gonzales, “I’m excited about this opportunity. LEWCO already has a very good ISO Procedure in place. We just need to get it out there ‘visually’ to make us even better than we already are.” He continues, “Focusing on our processes will improve work flow, minimize part shortages, minimize scrap, and increase production. This is why the visual aspect is important. It allows team members to see their work instructions on a daily basis, and ask for changes to be made before something negative can happen. They also see current problems on a board and think of similar problems that could exist.” Gonzales recognizes the importance of focusing on Preventative and Corrective Action, driving LEWCO to be proactive in the workplace rather than reactive.

Please help us in congratulating Mr. Gonzales!
