Leviton Rolls Out "Red Carpet" for Distributors Visiting New "Green" World Headquarters

Electrical distributors tour Leviton's new Melville, NY facility; find out about latest product introductions

Melville, NY, November 20, 2009 -- Leviton Manufacturing rolled out the red carpet for over 75 local area distributors seeking to obtain an up close and personal view of the company's new high-performance, energy-efficient world headquarters complex. The gala event, which took place on November 5th from 3PM -8PM, included personalized tours of the 4-story, 140,000 square facility, a networking and cocktail hour, mini trade show with product demonstrations and opportunity to learn about the latest product launches and customer support initiatives.

Customers traveled from around the tri-state region to participate in the event and obtain a first hand look at Leviton's new world-class facilities. Company president and CEO Donald J. Hendler thanked those in attendance for their loyalty and support over the years. His address was followed by a full course dinner, during which guests chatted with company staff and dined in the company's trendy café.

"Leviton is committed to servicing its customers with the best combination of products, people and programs," said William Fodor, Director of Channel Marketing. "Our new Melville headquarters lets us efficiently service our customers and our customers' customers and is evidence of Leviton's pledge to have in place the systems, technologies and products to serve as the pacesetter in the electrical industry."

Customers were given guided tours through the company's state-of-the-art test lab, cafeteria with full recycling center, Founders' Room, customer service area, network operations center and open work areas. Last month Leviton invited local area electricians to participate in a similar tour, networking and trade show event. "Site visits of this kind provide Leviton customers with the opportunity to see how products like our daylight harvesting system, lighting energy management systems, cable management devices, occupancy sensors, scene control systems, and box mounted devices can be installed within a commercial facility to achieve energy efficiency and business productivity goals," Fodor stated. Many Leviton lighting management systems and data networking products are installed throughout the complex.
