Lenox® Hires New Vice President Of Marketing


EAST LONGMEADOW, Mass., December 20, 2005 - LENOX, a leading manufacturer of premium power tool accessories, hand tools and band saw blades, today announces that Rich Mathews has been named its new vice president of marketing. Mathews comes to LENOX from GRACO®, another Newell Rubbermaid company, where he had been the vice president of marketing and new business since 2001. At LENOX, Mathews will be responsible for the continuous development of LENOX marketing and branding strategy and will oversee execution of LENOX marketing and public relations tactics.

"Rich brings to LENOX a diverse background that includes years of marketing and product management experience in the hardware and tool business, and he's been the driving force behind some very successful programs," said Bob Heisner, president, LENOX. "He comes to us from another Newell Rubbermaid company and is familiar with our product development and marketing processes, so we know he can hit the ground running the minute he walks in the door. While his most recent position was with GRACO, Mathews has several years of experience with power and hand tools through marketing positions with some of the top brands in the industry, including DeWalt®, Stanley® and Black & Decker®. He is a graduate of the University of Massachusetts at Amherst, where he earned a bachelor's degree in business administration.
