Laminations® Hires Weber as Vice President of Manufacturing


Hanson appointed to newly created position - director of special projects

APPLETON, Wis., June 22, 2007-Laminations®, part of Great Northern Corporation's Specialty Group, has announced a change in its manufacturing leadership structure and personnel.

Gary Weber has been hired to fill the new position of vice president of manufacturing. Weber will oversee the company's five manufacturing operations, which are located in California, Oregon, Florida, Pennsylvania and Wisconsin. He will be based at company headquarters in Appleton.

Chuck Hanson, Lamination's long-time director of manufacturing, has been appointed to the new position of director of special projects. Hanson, who has been with Laminations since 1973, has announced his intention to retire at the end of 2008. His new position as director of special projects will enable him to focus on strategic initiatives that will ensure the company is well positioned for the future in terms of machinery and facilities.

Weber spent the last 25 years working at Appleton, a world-class leader in value-added papers and converted paper products. His responsibilities at Appleton included technical director, production manager, operations manager and business unit manager. He also had extensive involvement in the company's quality, productivity and lean initiatives. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in paper science and engineering from the University of Wisconsin Stevens Point.
