Laird Technologies Contributes to Tornado Relief Efforts in Joplin, Missouri, U.S.A.


Contributions Include $10,000 plus Additional Employee Match of up to $10,000

St. Louis, Missouri, USA - May 27, 2011 - Laird Technologies, Inc., a global leader in the design and supply of customized performance-critical components and systems for advanced electronics and wireless products, today announced a corporate donation of $10,000 to the American Red Cross to help with the relief efforts following the devastating tornado that hit Joplin, Missouri, U.S.A. In addition, the company has agreed to match all employee donations up to $10,000. Thus far, employees have contributed nearly $1,000 in cash and goods with more being committed each day.

"Disasters like the huge tornado damage in Joplin, Missouri demonstrate how precious life is and how quickly events beyond our control can devastate families and communities," said Marty Rapp, CEO of Laird Technologies, Inc. Laird Technologies operates two facilities in the St. Louis, Missouri, U.S.A area including its global headquarters in Chesterfield, Missouri, U.S.A. While those sites were not directly affected, several employees have families that were impacted by the storms.
