KYOTO, JAPAN - October 29, 2008 - Kyocera Corporation (President: Makoto Kawamura) (NYSE:KYO) today announced the launch of its Fine Ceramics World Web site, a comprehensive introduction to the field of fine ceramics and the various roles these materials play in supporting the development of cutting-edge technology. As a pioneer with half a century of experience in fine ceramics - also known as "advanced ceramics" or "new ceramics" - Kyocera created the site to educate diverse audiences ranging from students and researchers to the general public. The site provides easy-to-understand illustrations and animations of the materials and manufacturing processes involved in making fine ceramic products.
