Clinton Township, Michigan - Sept 27, 2005 - KUKA Robotics Corporation, a leading global manufacturer of industrial robots, today announced it will hold the grand opening of its Fox Valley Technical College facility in Appleton, Wisconsin on Friday, October 21st followed by a public open house event Saturday, October 22nd. The company will officially open the facility on Friday with a ribbon cutting dedication attended by invited local dignitaries and businesses. The facility will be dedicated by the Board of Fox Valley Technical College, Wisconsin political representatives and Bernd Liepert, CEO of KUKA Roboter gmbH. On Saturday KUKA's facility will be open to the public and will feature live demonstrations showcasing robotic solutions for a variety of applications including packaging, milling/grinding and welding. This will be the company's second training center in the United States with the other being located at KUKA Robotics US headquarters in Clinton Township, Michigan.

The 10,000 square foot training center will utilize KUKA robots and software to teach 27 different programming, application and maintenance classes to KUKA Robotics' customers from across the U.S. Courses will be offered in robot programming, servicing, and cell design. A highlight of the curriculum at the College will be the training program for qualification as a KUKA Certified Robot Professional. Participants will learn what is needed to become a fully-qualified robot expert. Graduates' skills will be verified and documented by means of a final examination in each area, leading to a diploma as a KUKA Certified Robot Professional in one of the three technical fields: Robot Technician, Robot Programmer or Robot Administrator.
