KTech Telecom Upgrades Manufacturing Capabilities with APEX FA

Chatsworth, California based telecom specialist Ktech Telecom has recently announced the expansion of their SMT assembly capabilities with the addition of a high performance line from APEX Factory Automation. (www.apexfa.com)
Since 1995, Ktech has been developing HDTV signal processors, MPEG2 video products, and continues to develop new products required for Digital Cable Head-End operators. When KTech Telecom was ready to build on their current business and upgrade their SMT equipment, they did a lot of shopping.
Steve Kuh, President of KTech Telecom, explained his perspective. “The market is very competitive, with a lot of manufacturers offering aggressively priced SMT equipment. We shopped the major players and decided on the Mirae Pick and Place with the SJ Inno Tech Stencil Printer from Apex FA.”

The new line includes the SJ Inno Tech HP-520S printer with 2D inspection and the Mirae Mx200LP. Mirae placement machines s feature advanced linear motor technology providing high speed and placement accuracy of 25µ (3σ). These flexible SMT assemblers are capable of placing 01005’s (0402 metric) through 3.5” X 1.18” (90mm X 30mm) large SMT devices using advanced optics and inspection systems.
