KROHNE to Showcase Process Measurement Instruments at International Dairy Show

Peabody, MA: KROHNE, Inc. will showcase innovative dairy process optimization and quality improvement equipment at the International Dairy Show 2013, which will be held November 3-6, 2013, at McCormick Place, in Chicago, Illinois, Booth 448. On display will be the OPTIQUAD-M analysis system for dairies and cheese making operations, the Viscoline Inline Process Rheometer, and the OPTIFLUX 6300 PMO meter.
The new OPTIQUAD-M analysis system features continuous, non-contact measurement of protein, fat and lactose in milk products. The OPTIQUAD-M offers dairy and cheese making operators new opportunities for process optimization and quality improvement. It is ideal for such applications as increasing protein content in cheese making milk/vat milk, standardization of fat content in drinking milk, or setting a constant ratio of fat to protein in cheese production.
KROHNE experts will be on hand to highlight the features of the Viscoline Inline Process Rheometer, which provides inline, continuous measurement of fluid viscosity for process control and monitoring applications. Viscoline is ideal for use wherever viscosity measurement is required for process or quality control, including yogurt and cheese. No mechanical process modification is required for accurate viscosity measurements. Viscoline is simple and efficient, with all stainless steel construction, no moving parts and no in-situ calibration required. It features continuous measurement with analog or digital outputs. The unit is extremely reliable, with a repeatability of 0.2 percent, resolution to 0.1cP while meeting government policy on metrological traceability.
Also on display will be the OPTIFLUX 6300 Grade “A” Pasteurized Milk Ordinance (PMO) meter that improves pasteurization loop output and increases efficiency. The OPTIFLUX 6300 is approved by the Atlantic Midwest Dairy Equipment Review Committee (AMDERC) for use in pasteurization loops in accordance with FDA requirements. Offered in a range of sizes from ½-inch to 4-inches, the all stainless steel OPTIFLUX 6300 PMO meter is equipped with several new security features, including software with a lock-out feature to preclude tampering, an external locking device that prevents opening the cover to reprogram the meter, and the ability to affix the meter with a state inspection seal.
