LONGMONT, Colo., Dec. 15, 2010 - Kozio, Inc. (www.kozio.com), the leading provider of In-System Diagnostics was named one of the Most Promising I.T. and Web Companies at the 8th Annual Rice Alliance for Technology & Entrepreneurship I.T. and Web Venture Forum in Houston last week. Kozio's CEO, Clint Ostrander, presented the company's business plan and In-System Diagnostics (ISD) approach to electronic hardware verification and validation. Ostrander showcased Kozio to an audience of more than 400 attendees, including investors, venture capitalists, industry representatives, business leaders, advisors/mentors, service providers, and entrepreneurs.

Five, out of more than 60 new I.T. and Web companies were pre-selected to present their detailed business plan at the forum, and as one of the chosen five, Kozio was named a Most Promising I.T. and Web Company. Rice Alliance managing director Brad Burke, announced the winners at the event.

"Every year the quality of companies improves. This year we had a diversity of companies from industrial design software to cloud-based data storage to an online portal for health food discounts," stated Brad Burke, Alliance Managing Director, Rice Alliance for Technology and Entrepreneurship. "As a group, the companies this year are further along. Most have developed prototypes, sold to customers, demonstrated results and raised previous funding. This makes them more appealing to current investors, who have commented on the improved quality of the companies."

"We believe in the direction that Kozio is headed, and were eager to present our business plan to such a prestigious group of financial business leaders," stated Clint Ostrander, President & CEO, Kozio, Inc. "After listening to such an impressive group of entrepreneurs deliver their company's business plans, I was indeed honored to be presenting amongst them and selected as one of the most promising companies. Kozio has a great future ahead of us."

In-System Diagnostics (ISD)

ISD is a powerful and proven new technology for comprehensive verification and validation of electronic products. Unlike other verification and validation tools, it runs on actual hardware and replaces customized test procedures with a standardized extensible solution that significantly accelerates hardware test time. The core of ISD consists of an embedded binary, plus interpreter, that isolates and functionally evaluates device performance at-speed, against engineering design specifications, and over an extended operating range. It installs on bare silicon, is not an OS, and verifies hardware designs without scheduler interrupts or other OS-induced perturbations that may influence hardware performance and/or obscure the source of faults.
