Environmental specialist with new distributor for the North American market
Frohnleiten/ Denver (January 9th 2007) - KOMPTECH, specialist for equipment and systems for treatment of solid waste matter and biomass headquartered in Frohnleiten launches new subsidiary. KOMPTECH USA Inc. in Denver (Colorado, USA) will be responsible for the distribution of environmental products in North America. The objective will be to establish a dense sub-dealer and develop the North American market.
"Specifics of the American market require the foundation of a new distributor in the USA", comments KOMPTECH managing director Josef Heissenberger the new addition to the company. KOMPTECH USA Inc. Headquartered in Denver was founded at the beginning of this year and will be responsible for the distribution of KOMPTECH products for environmental technology in North America. "Market size and different conditions in each federal state require the establishment of a comprehensive sub-dealer network that has to be managed locally", justifies Sales-Manager Josef Imp the reasons for the new distributor.
KOMPTECH USA Inc. will be founded entirely as subsidiary of KOMPTECH GmbH and shall considerably contribute to future growth of the entire company. A total revenue of 10 m Euro are expected by 2010 from sales in the USA. This objective shall be achieved by offensive marketing, including measures such as presentations at relevant trade fairs, presentation of machinery and media product information.
In 2006, the KOMPTECH group was proud having achieved the most successful year in the history of its operations. With a revenue of 70 m Euro, we were able to increase our revenue of the previous year by 20 per cent. Further expansion in 2007 is signalled by the foundation of the production facility KOMPTECH okoljska tehnika d.o.o. in Ljutomer (Slovenia) and the KOMPTECH Research Center in St. Michael near Leoben (Styria). Thus, we currently employ 400 staff at nine locations in six countries worldwide.
