Kodak Alaris Enhances Global Document Imaging Services with Acquisition of US&C Service Business from Eastman Park Micrographics

ROCHESTER, N.Y. — Kodak Alaris has acquired the United States and Canada (USC) service business of Eastman Park Micrographics (EPM). This strengthens Kodak Alaris’ ability to offer global services for document scanners, software and micrographics equipment. Outside the USC, Kodak Alaris already provides service for EPM customers in Asia, Europe and Latin America.

“We have over 80 years’ experience providing service and support for document imaging customers,” said Dolores Kruchten, President of the Document Imaging division of Kodak Alaris. “We understand the technology behind capture, storage and data management. We also understand the importance of managing vital records such as official government documents, loan applications and insurance claims. And we’re in a great position to deliver our service and support to customers on a global scale.”

More than 7,000 customers in the US&C will transition to service provided by Kodak Alaris, including installation, maintenance and professional services.

“Kodak Alaris has a great track record of delivering service and support,” said William D. Oates, President and CEO, EPM. “This transaction ensures continued service excellence to customers, and allows EPM to maintain its focus on providing micrographics media and equipment to the growing preservation market.”

Financial terms of the sale are not being disclosed.

About Eastman Park Micrographics, Inc. (EPM)

Eastman Park Micrographics was formed in March 2011 upon the purchase of the micrographic business from Eastman Kodak Company, including the ongoing rights to manufacture and sell former branded Kodak micrographics equipment. EPM now markets its media and equipment under its trademark IMAGELINK brand.  EPM’s mission is to develop and supply the microfilm materials and equipment and service to address the needs of the preservation market worldwide. In January 2013, EPM entered into a long-term worldwide master supply agreement with Agfa to provide additional IMAGELINK-branded micrographic products and photo chemicals to the market. In December of 2013, EPM acquired the assets and business of Imaging 411 to provide support directly to its customers in the US and Canada.
