Kimberly-Clark Professional Announces WYPALL® Wipers Honorary Crew Chief for a Week Contest Winner

Race Fan Earns Chance to Work at Dale Earnhardt, Incorporated (DEI) for a Week

ROSWELL, Ga. (November 18, 2005) - Kimberly-Clark Professional* WYPALL® Wipers today announced the winner of the 2005 "Honorary Crew Chief for a Week" contest. The annual contest is the culmination of a nationwide effort that asked WYPALL® Wipers users to write an essay describing how the product has changed the way they work.

The winner, Ed Roach, a vocational school instructor for heavy equipment operators at the Indian Capital Technology Center in Tahlequah, Okla., is living every NASCAR fan's dream. Roach spent this week working side-by-side with Tony Eury, Sr., head crew chief for the Dale Earnhardt, Inc. (DEI) race team at their Kannapolis, N.C. headquarters, as they prepared for the season finale race at the Homestead-Miami Speedway. As the Crew Chief's Choice, WYPALL® Wipers are used extensively by NASCAR crew chiefs in their garages.

Roach was involved in the everyday activities at DEI and was able to get a behind-the-scenes viewpoint. "This was a chance of a lifetime. I got to watch all the hard work that goes into these cars," boasts Roach. "I am so impressed with the DEI crew; to see all that preparation and then to watch them during the practice race was awesome! It's a dream come true to be in the pit on race day. It's cool to think that I'm using the same WYPALL® X80 Towels as the guys at DEI," he added.

Kimberly-Clark Professional* received hundreds of essays from hopeful contestants, and a panel of judges made the final decision. "Ed did a great job of describing how WYPALL® Wipers have made a difference in his life," said Dave Kowitz, Category Manager, WYPALL® Wipers. "Ed's essay demonstrated that only WYPALL® Wipers can deliver the superior quality and top-notch performance that crew chiefs and other customers demand," added Kowitz.

After spending a week with the DEI crew, Ed flew to Miami for the season finale race at Homestead-Miami Speedway where he will be at the center of the action in the pits and the garages during practice sessions and on race day.

"It was great having Ed down here with the team. He seemed right at home in the garage," said Tony Eury, Sr. "If Ed was around any longer I think my job might be in jeopardy," he joked. "Ed made some new friends at DEI this week, and I'm sure he will have plenty of stories to tell back in Tahlequah," added Eury.
