Johnson Matthey Stationary Emissions Control Group Appoints Power Ignition and Controls Appalachia (PICA) as Its Newest Distributor

PICA serves oil and gas customers in the Marcellus and Utica shale regions in Pennsylvania, Ohio, West Virginia and New York

Audubon, PA— Johnson Matthey’s Stationary Emissions Control (SEC) group has appointed Power Ignition and Controls Appalachia (PICA), an Equipment Controls Inc. company based in Monesson, PA, (www.pic-appalachia.com) as a distributor of its emissions control equipment, including catalytic converters, SCR systems and oxidation catalysts for gas and diesel engines.

PICA’s parent company has been servicing the oil and gas industries for over 60 years, and established PICA in 2011 to focus specifically on their numerous gas compression and exploration customers in the Marcellus and Utica shale regions of western Pennsylvania, West Virginia, eastern Ohio and parts of New York.

Steve Clark, Johnson Matthey Sales Manager, said, “PICA will inventory, sell and clean catalyst elements for Johnson Matthey’s ModulexTM, DualOx® and CRT® catalytic converters and SCR systems to optimize engine and compressor performance and achieve full environmental regulatory compliance.”

“The shale gas industry is an important market for us. Johnson Matthey offers the best available emissions control technology for shale gas compressor engines, from the wellhead to processing to the gas pipeline. Being local, PICA will allow us to serve this market better.”

PICA offers engine audits and optimization, emissions testing, catalyst management, field Installations and commissioning services through its Monesson, PA operation center. It also runs full-service training centers in Pittsburgh, PA, Charleston, WV and Solon, OH.
