John Zink Company Affiliate Acquires German Supplier of Thermal Oxidation Systems


TULSA, Okla., Dec. 1, 2005 - A John Zink Company, LLC affiliate has acquired Germany-based KEU GmbH, the companies announced today. KEU, based in Krefeld, supplies thermal oxidizers and heat recovery systems for the pharmaceutical and chemical industries.

Terms of the sale between John Zink GmbH and KEU were not disclosed.

"John Zink's state-of-the-art research and development resources, combined with KEU's extensive incineration technologies will enable us to augment the cutting-edge combustion and environmental systems we supply to our customers."

John Zink will market products that were developed by the individual companies.

John Zink will offer the Combustor(TM) waste gas combustion system, which destroys gaseous streams from chemical and pharmaceutical production processes; thermal oxidizers for gaseous and liquid residues; catalytic waste gas clean-up systems; recuperative systems; high temperature gas exchangers; and direct and indirect air heaters.
