JLG Products Shine at FedFleet 2010

Industry-leading Boom Lifts, Telehandlers and Aerial Lift Equipment Were on Display

McConnellsburg, Pa. - JLG Industries, Inc., an Oshkosh Corporation company [NYSE:OSK] demonstrated the versatility of its product range during FedFleet 2010, held July 13-15 at the Phoenix Convention Center in Phoenix, Arizona.

"At FedFleet 2010, JLG had the opportunity to showcase a variety of products that address the specific and unique needs of the government sector," said Denny Buterbaugh, JLG Industries vice president - government products and programs. "JLG provides many products to the government and military, and we are proud of our ability to meet the high standards and demanding requirements of these organizations."

Four JLG products - the T500J Towable Boom Lift, 1230ES Electric Scissor Lift, Fall Arrest Platform and LiftPod® - attracted visitors who attended the annual event, which is geared toward fleet and procurement managers in the government sector.

With a 500-pound capacity and platform height of up to 50 feet, the T500J Towable Boom Lift is built to handle a variety of jobs. The T500J features a standard combination hitch and hydraulic autoleveling outriggers that ensure easy transport and fast set-up for high-priority tasks.

The JLG demonstration also featured the low-maintenance 1230ES Electric Scissor Lift, which helps to boost productivity with the longest runtime, when compared to other lifts in its class. Lightweight for easy transport in freight elevators, the versatile 1230ES offers a platform height of up to 12 feet and a 500-pound capacity.

The JLG Fall Arrest Platform enables workers to confidently move outside the basket while still meeting fall protection requirements. The system tethers workers to the boom's basket, without restricting their movement, within a radius of six feet around the platform.

JLG also showcased the LiftPod, the first-of-its-kind personal and portable lift that combines the portability of a ladder with the stability of a work platform. With an enclosed platform and 14-foot working height, the LiftPod provides greater stability than ladders and allows workers to move hands-free within the basket, helping to increase safety. The platform contains a work tray to carry tools and materials, increasing productivity and quality of work. The LiftPod is easily portable between sites in a pickup truck or SUV and around the work site on wheels. The LiftPod can be carried and moved by one person, and assembled in less than 30 seconds.

FedFleet 2010 is organized by the Federal Fleet Policy Council, the U.S. General Services Administration's (GSA) Office of Governmentwide Policy, and the Interagency Committee for Aviation Policy and GSA Fleet. The conference and tradeshow is geared for a wide range of attendees, including federal, state and local government fleet managers; procurement officials; local vehicle coordinators, operations and maintenance managers; industry partners; and vehicle manufactures, among many others. This year's event gathered more than 1500 attendees, making it the most-well attended FedFleet to date.
