James J. Hattler Named President & COO Of Mercury Waste Solutions, Inc.


November 21, 2005-Mankato, MN-Mercury Waste Solutions, Inc. has announced the appointment of James J. Hattler as President and Chief Operating Officer of Mercury Waste Solutions, Inc. The announcement came from Chairman of the Board, Brad J. Buscher.

According to Mr. Buscher: "Jim is one of the most experienced individuals in the hazardous waste industry. He joined us in August 2003 after 26 years with Laidlaw/Safety Kleen. It was a critical juncture in our development, and he did a tremendous job of cementing our relationship with many of our key customers. He has subsequently opened doors for us with numerous Fortune 500 and hazardous waste companies. And he has been instrumental in furthering the development of the LampTracker fluorescent lamp recycling product line."

Mr. Hattler's previous responsibilities at Mercury Waste Solutions included day-to-day management of Mercury Waste Solution's sales activities as Executive Vice President of Sales where he implemented new sales and incentive plans to stimulate growth.

Mr. Hattler has been involved in the hazardous waste business since 1974 including a 26-year career at Laidlaw Environmental Services/Safety-Kleen, where he was responsible for their business development strategy. He is a seasoned business executive with diverse and extensive career experience in the area of financial analysis, including a 12-year tenure directly involved with mergers and acquisitions, strategic planning, sales, marketing, and information technology.

Mr. Hattler has served in various senior level positions throughout his career with major corporate organizations. He is a proven leader and problem solver with strong business, financial analysis, strategic planning, project management, communication, team building, staff mentoring, and negotiation skills.
