J.W. Winco Wins Mid-Market Growth Award
NEW BERLIN, Wis. - J.W. Winco, Inc., a leading supplier of standard industrial machine components, recently was honored with a Mid-Market Growth Award from the Milwaukee Business Journal.
J.W. Winco was selected due to posting a 41 percent growth rate since 2003. Between 2003 and 2004, sales increased to $9.7 million from $7.8 million, a growth rate of almost 26 percent. In 2005, sales were $10.1 million. In 2006, they are on pace for a 12-14% increase.
"We're keeping one step ahead in our marketplace through our expanded Web site offerings, including online catalog shopping, credit card ordering, and free, downloadable 3D-CAD, a tool for engineers," said John Winkler, Jr. CEO of J.W. Winco. The company also utilizes Web advertising, has a field sales force, and operates a high-tech automatic storage and retrieval system in its warehouse. Growth has necessitated the company add a 19,000 addition to its office and warehouse facility, slated for completion in April 2007.
The Mid-Market Growth Awards honor public and private companies that have $5 million to $250 million in annual revenue that have experienced substantial revenue growth over the past three years (2003, 2004, 2005).
