ISO 13485 Medical Certification
Lloyd's Register Quality Assurance certified Hewitt Molding with Seal of Approval for Medical Device Applications.
Oakford, IN, October 27th, 2009: Hewitt Molding has received certification through the offices of Lloyd's Register Quality Assurance to the following Quality Management system standard: ISO 13485:2003 with a scope of Precision Molding of Details and Components for Medical Device Applications including Thermoplastic Injection Molds and Injection Molded Products. This new certification supports the current ISO/TS 16949:2002 and ISO 9001:2000 quality systems in place.
With this certification, Hewitt Molding has received the quality credentials to machine, build and mold Medical Devices. Hewitt's "all under one roof" advantage allows for custom engineering of proto devices to the production molding and assembly of plastic devices completed in a Clean Room environment. All products are machined, manufactured, tested, certified and shipped from the same facility.
