ISA Focuses on Wireless Solutions for Manufacturing Automation
Research Triangle Park, NC (19 April 2007) - ISA has announced a two day conference entitled "Wireless Solutions for Manufacturing Automation: Insights for Technology and Business Success," to be held 23-24 July 2007 at the Marriott Vancouver Airport in Richmond, BC, Canada.
The two day program provides enterprise management and senior technical personnel with business insights into the current state of wireless technologies for manufacturing and control systems. It is intended to facilitate understanding of the technology issues and business considerations that underlie effective decisions on when and where wireless solutions in the industrial environment are appropriate.
Program topics include:
o Overview of wireless technology
o Current state of commercialization of wireless solutions
o Current state of standards for wireless solutions
o Making the business case for implementing wireless solutions
o Case histories of wireless implementations
Industry expert speakers and presenters are expected, with announcements to come. A tutorial will precede the conference on 22 July 2007 for those attendees that wish to have a more in-depth understanding of wireless technical issues. Open meetings of ISA-SP100 standards committees addressing wireless systems for automation will follow the conference on 25-27 July 2007.
