Introducing the New WattNode Family of Electrical Energy Meters

Power/Energy Meters Supplement Equipment & Energy Monitoring Projects

CAS DataLoggers is pleased to announce that they are now an authorized stocking distributor of Continental Control Systems products including the WattNode family of power and electrical energy meters. VP of sales, Peter Martin says “We have used the WattNote transducers quite successfully with our data loggers and data acquisition systems in a number of different equipment and energy monitoring projects. This gives us the opportunity to provide quicker deliveries and better value for our customers. In particular, we are excited to offer the new WattNode WND-WR-MB wide-range Modbus energy meter which satisfies a number of different requirements with a single device.”

The WattNode meters are available in several styles, from simple devices that measure kWh with a pulse output, to multifunction device meters with a Modbus RTU interface that measure more than 90 parameters.

They work with single or three-phase service from 100-600VAC. When coupled with a dataTaker or Delphin data logger/data acquisition system, they provide the base for a comprehensive monitoring system that can capture electrical parameters like AC voltage, current, power, energy and power factor along with other data like temperature, pressure, and flow. These systems are used in applications including:

  • Energy efficiency studies
  • Pump, compressor and equipment monitoring
  • Energy conservation projects
  • Renewable energy system
  • Sub-metering
