Informatica Continues to Deliver on Strategic Roadmap for Cross-Enterprise Data Integration

Leading Service Providers Embrace New Informatica On Demand Offerings and Service Provider Partner Program

REDWOOD CITY, Calif., Feb. 6 // -- Informatica Corporation (NASDAQ:INFA), a leading provider of data integration solutions, today announced it is successfully delivering on its strategic roadmap and experiencing market momentum for Informatica On Demand, a series of product and service offerings that enable cross-enterprise data integration in business process outsourcing and Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) environments. As companies increasingly turn to hosted models, Informatica On Demand offerings enable them to successfully migrate, integrate, synchronize, and cleanse data across on-premise and outsourced applications and derive maximum value from all their information assets.

"Last May we announced our strategic roadmap for Informatica On Demand. We have successfully aligned ourselves with a fast-growing market need and that's evidenced by the uptake of Informatica On Demand technologies as they have been released," said Ron Papas, senior vice president of business development at Informatica. "As promised, we have started to deliver seamless connectivity to SaaS applications and have enabled SaaS and BPO service providers to build their own cross-enterprise solutions using Informatica data integration technologies."

Major customers turning to Informatica for cross-enterprise data integration in 2006 include Brocade, Affymetrix and ALD Automotive, all of whom now use Informatica PowerCenter Connect for salesforce.com to integrate and synchronize data between salesforce.com and their on-premise applications. Generally available as scheduled in July 2006, PowerCenter Connect for salesforce.com is the first Informatica connector that will enable customers to synchronize data seamlessly and securely over the Internet with leading software-as-a-service applications.

Informatica also has enabled business process outsourcing and SaaS providers to embed Informatica technologies through the innovative Service Provider Partner Program (SP3). The program is available to service providers who embed Informatica technology within their service offerings. Benefits of the program include increased technical assistance, training discounts, and commercial licensing. Leading Business Process Outsource provider EDS has joined Informatica's SP3 by embedding Informatica PowerCenter and PowerExchange to manage data transformations in support of its Agile Card payment processing services.

"This represents another step in EDS' continued commitment to leadership in the global card issuer and merchant processing markets," said Bob Segert, Vice President of Global Financial Products at EDS.

Additionally, in the past quarter, leading human resource outsourcers Hewitt Associates and Mercer Human Resource Services joined the SP3 to leverage Informatica within their own service offerings. Mercer, a new Informatica customer, selected Informatica PowerCenter Advanced Edition to perform data transformations within their application.

Hewitt, a long-time customer, chose to build on its past success with Informatica. "We have a long-standing relationship with Informatica and have already realized benefits by utilizing Informatica PowerCenter for data warehousing and reporting as part of our HR Outsourcing services," said Jeff Loesch, director of data management solutions, Hewitt Associates. "The Service Provider Partner Program provides us with a flexible pricing model and technical support to broaden our use of Informatica products enabling us to serve our customers more expeditiously with a high-quality offering."

EDS, Hewitt and Mercer are the newest members of Informatica's SP3. Other top SaaS vendors include salesforce.com, NetSuite, and RightNow in leveraging Informatica software in conjunction with their On Demand services. Fifteen companies are presently part of this innovative partner ecosystem.
