Infiana USA Named a Marcum Innovator of the Year
Engineered films specialist Infiana USA, Inc., a leading supplier of solutions to the building & construction, pressure sensitive, and composite markets, was one of 14 companies honored at the 2016 Marcum Innovator Awards, held in Philadelphia, PA on October 26th, 2016. Organized by the accounting and advisory firm Marcum LLP in partnership with Philadelphia SmartCEO, the Marcum Awards are an annual celebration of innovative businesses in the Greater Philadelphia metropolitan area, recognizing local companies that pioneer new advancements in the biotech and healthcare, business services, manufacturing, real estate and technology sectors. Infiana USA, which is headquartered in Malvern, PA, was honored in the category Manufacturing - Medium.
The award underlines the company’s commitment to product and process innovation through measures such as Collaborate + Innovate - a customer-focused program in which Infiana’s specialists work directly with client companies to develop novel film products. With internal R&D facilities, a pilot plant, and a team of experienced professionals that encompasses doctors in materials science, chemists, print specialists, production engineers, and packaging designers, Infiana is uniquely positioned to create tailored solutions that meet even highly specialized client needs.
Robert Shumoski, General Manager of Infiana USA, collected the award in front of a crowd of more than 300 executives and guests. “This was a great night for Infiana USA, capping what has already been a fantastic year for our North American operations overall,” Shumoski remarked. “With newly expanded capacity and further capabilities planned for our Malvern plant over the next two years, we look forward to playing an important part in the vibrant economy of the Greater Philadelphia area – and beyond.”
The Marcum Award is the latest recognition of the Infiana Group’s excellence in innovation. Infiana Germany, the Group’s European branch, was named third-most innovative medium-sized business in Germany by WirtschaftsWoche Magazine in 2015, and was recently recognized as one of the country’s 100 most innovative companies at the 2016 TOP 100 awards. The Group has also received several honors for its plasma-coated release film, FlexPLAS®, which was named Product of the Year 2016 by the Association of International Metallizers, Coaters, and Laminators (AIMCAL).
