Industry Veteran Larry Stewart Joins CRON North America as Grafsolve Continues to Focus on The Coldset Printing Market
North Chicago, Illinois - Grafsolve, LLC announces the appointment of Larry Stewart as national service manager for CRON North America, a division of Grafsolve. Stewart brings more than 40 years of experience in the printing industry including 20-plus years in prepress, press and postpress operations as well as 15-plus years in field engineering.
When Grafsolve learned that Stewart’s former employer had been acquired, it was eager to pursue Stewart for his talent and longevity in the field. Two of his colleagues, Dennis Poston and Donna Satchell were also sought after and signed on as coldset sales director and inside sales manager respectively. Poston brings 47 years of experience in the printing industry; Satchell, 28.
“When Larry, Dennis and Donna’s former employer was purchased, we saw the chance to add tremendous talent to our existing team,” said Tony Ruth, executive vice president of Grafsolve. “We are extremely fortunate to have acquired all three individuals whose combined talent and expertise equate to more than a century’s worth of experience in the printing industry. CRON North America is now fully staffed and equipped to service the newspaper market from both a sales and service side. With Larry’s printing and operations experience, our already strong service team has been elevated to the next level.”
As national service manager, Stewart’s primary focus will be on the coldset portion of the business. He will be responsible for all hardware, software and plate installations and will service a wide range of equipment including CTP devices, benders and processors. He will also be involved in color calibration.
On the sales side of the business, Poston will oversee the entire coldset sales division as well as manage his own territory in the Southeast. He will focus on CTP, workflow, plate, ink and chemistry sales. For the newspaper market he will be tasked with selling service contracts in conjunction with the products.
As inside sales manager, Satchell will sell directly to end-users and provide support to the outside sales staff. Her duties will also include organizing and scheduling service assignments and handling the billing. She too will focus on the coldset portion of the business.
With the hiring of Stewart, Poston and Satchell, Grafsolve and its CRON North America division are expected to add new dimensions to coldset printing and deliver valuable solutions to the newspaper industry.
