Indium Corporation Appoints Tim Jensen as Manager of Pb-Free Programs

As the electronics assembly industry gears up for one of the most critical dates in its history, Indium Corporation has enhanced its Pb-Free Program with the appointment of Tim Jensen as Pb-Free Program Manager.

The global electronics assembly industry is faced with the mandatory conversion to lead-free assembly materials. Legislation in Asia, Europe, and North America dictate that most finished products must contain no lead by June 2006.

Jensen, an internationally-known speaker on Pb-Free Surface Mount Technology (SMT) electronics assembly, has spent over 7 years troubleshooting and optimizing process lines. He has worked closely with Indium's Technical Service, Research & Development, and Sales Teams to ensure that customer's current and future Pb-Free product requirements are met. Having worked directly on hundreds of surface mount lines, building thousands of different products, he understands each customer's unique needs.

Tim has authored numerous technical publications and process and technical guidelines. He is a member of professional societies, such as the Surface Mount Technology Association (SMTA), and actively participates in several IPC standards development committees. Tim is an SMTA-Certified Process Engineer.
