In-House Service Center - Beyond the Purchase

New England Safety Company offers unique services

Peabody, Massachusetts - May 10, 2006 - Safety Inc. and ETA Associate's In-House Service Center includes calibration, installation, start-up, and repair for portable instruments and fixed systems. The factory trained and authorized technicians are the instrumentation experts for all types of safety, industrial hygiene and environmental instruments, including: gas detectors, photo ionization detectors (PIDS), sound level meters, noise dosimeters, octave band analyzers, aerosol /dust meters, indoor air quality monitors, anemometers, personal sampling pumps, respirators, and moisture meters. Service work can be done at the service center or at the customer's location.

Safety Inc. and ETA Associates sell products from the most reputable manufacturers, although, in time, all products need to be maintained, calibrated and or repaired.

"Usually our competitors don't get involved in repairs", says Fred Myerson, Vice President of Safety Inc., "we are unique in terms of having a service center where our staff can support what we actually sell. So, if you have a problem, you know where to turn."

The success of the service center has translated into long-lasting business relationships. Many customers have learned to take advantage of the maintenance plans that are provided annually, quarterly or customized according to preference. Reliable repair services eliminate lengthy down time and high rental fees. Similar to other types of technology, like computers, it may be more cost effective to buy a new instrument rather than continue to replace parts. The service center has qualified technicians who provide estimates to accurately assess a problem and minimize the guess work.

Many distributors will not provide services beyond the product sale. That means the customer is expected to contact the factory on their own for warranty or repair work. The length of time it takes to service equipment may extend beyond multiple weeks - even months. Product rentals and short-term training could increase the risk of injury and other potential dangers within the workplace. Some companies attempt to avoid this problem by purchasing extra equipment in the initial sale and end up paying twice the amount up front.

"We can repair products at a fraction of the time a factory can do it", says Myerson, "our service center is available even if you didn't purchase the product from us. We believe that the sale doesn't end at the time of invoice - for us, the sale never ends and if you need us we'll be there for you."
