Important Step in the US Market, Infiana Presents its Future Technology FlexPLAS® at the SAMPE Long Beach 2016

Infiana ramps up its activities in the North American composites market. This is the first time that the film specialist is presenting its product portfolio at the SAMPE Long Beach 2016, one of the major North American events for composites. Highlighted at the show will be the plasma-coated FlexPLAS® release film developed by Infiana in collaboration with the Fraunhofer Institute for Manufacturing Technology and Applied Materials Research (IFAM). Already awarded the "2016 Technology of the Year Award" by the industry association AIMCAL, the FlexPLAS® release film once again fulfills Infiana’s claim of being an expert specialist and innovative partner for specialty film solutions for different markets.

Infiana USA, Inc. already holds a market leader position of films in the building construction industries, and is an established supplier of specialty films. "Our participation at the SAMPE show not only allows us to showcase our product portfolio and innovations, but also strengthens our well-established relations with our key customers. It provides a perfect platform for developing joint concepts and expanding our position as an innovative partner for composites," states Robert Shumoski, General Manager at the Infiana plant in Malvern, Pennsylvania. Infiana’s strategy to focus on the development and production of innovative and engineered specialty film solutions is also a major priority in the American market. "The US market has significant growth potential for us. FlexPLAS® is a new product that will allow us to continue to position ourselves and grow as an expert in the field of release, process and specialty films," explains Robert Johnson, Business Development Director. Participating at the SAMPE show is the logical step to take to directly demonstrate the company’s innovative strength and product portfolio to stakeholders in the composites industry.

SAMPE Long Beach is one of the largest events in the US to exclusively address new materials and process technologies in the composites market. More than 250 exhibitors showcase their products and technical solutions here. The SAMPE (Society for the Advancement of Material and Process Engineering) was founded in the US in 1944 by aerospace professionals. The goal of this member-based society is to continue to develop new materials and processes. The SAMPE is organized into more than 100 associations around the world with about 4,000 members.
