Global Event Hosted by IEEE, in Honor of its 125th Anniversary
BANGALORE, India, Aug. 11 /-- WHAT:
On Saturday, 29 August, in honor of its 125th anniversary, IEEE, the world's largest technical professional society, will host one in a series of global events at The Lalit Ashok, Bangalore, India.
The event will feature keynote presentations from Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam, Former President of India; Mr. SK Chaturvedi, Chairman & Managing Director, Power Grid Corporation of India; Dr. Kris Gopalkrishnan, CEO and Managing Director of Infosys Technologies Limited; and Prof. VK Aatre, Former Scientific Advisor to Ministry of Defense and Secretary to Government of India.
Presentations will revolve around 2020 Vision - Future of technology in India, Indian power sector and challenges ahead, globalization and innovation in India and Education and research.
Following the general program, IEEE will host an invitation-only reception with food and beverage for media, IEEE fellows, students, academia, distinguished technology professionals and customers.

Discussions will address how IEEE has influenced these individuals' work and the speakers' personal perspectives on the future of technology.
