IEC And CLP Resources, Inc.: Partners In Safety

IEC National is pleased to announce that CLP Resources, Inc. has joined the association's effort to put safety first. By joining the Partner in Safety Program, CLP will work with IEC National and other companies interested in furthering their commitment to safety in the electrical and systems contracting industry.

"As IEC's efforts to put safety first grow and gain more visibility, we are looking to get manufacturers, distributors and service providers involved in our efforts," said Larry Mullins, IEC National Executive Vice President. "CLP has a proven track record in the industry and works hard to provide safe employees to their clients."

Putting safety first is one of IEC National's core beliefs. Some of the areas where IEC is busy advocating for a safer industry include: an Alliance with OSHA, distributing the IEC Codes & Safety Newsletter each month and 10,000 Jobsite Safety Handbooks each year. Through various media, venues and apprentice schools, IEC keeps over 100,000 electrical workers abreast of best practices, safety training and new products for the industry. IEC is on a mission to keep electrical workers informed and safe.

"CLP knows that it is essential for every electrician to be trained on safety practices on an ongoing basis and we know that the IEC takes that as seriously as we do," said Richard Beemer, National Safety Director for CLP. "Whether it's through sponsoring the distribution of their safety handbooks or conducting safety training workshops, CLP wants to do everything we can to help IEC send that message to their staff and to electrical contractors nationwide."
