IDT Network Search Engines Provide Accelerated Classification Support to RMI XLR Processors in a Seamless, Easy-to-Implement Solution

Cupertino, Calif. - September 10, 2007 - IDT® (Integrated Device Technology, Inc.; Nasdaq: IDTI), a leading provider of essential mixed signal semiconductor solutions, and Raza Microelectronics® Inc. (RMI), the leading provider of multi-core, multi-threaded MIPS64-based processors, today announced the availability of a proven interoperable solution comprised of the IDT network search engine (NSE) and RMI's XLR Processor(TM). This interoperable solution easily enables system vendors to quickly implement board level solutions in next generation networking applications, such as high-performance routers, while significantly reducing cost, power consumption, design complexity and board space.

Together, IDT and RMI® provide vendors with the necessary tools for building a cost-effective, yet innovative next-generation system. The IDT NSE includes an integrated LA-1 interface which directly connects to the XLR Processor's LA-1 interface, eliminating the need to use any type of bridging device or glue logic. IDT and RMI also provide software and hardware development tools for the joint solution as well as technical support and systems expertise.

"Our close relationship with IDT extends our partner alliance and their NSE enhances the XLR's capabilities," said Mark Litvack, director of business development, Scalable Processor Solutions at RMI. "Our combined efforts offer a more flexible, less costly, and faster time to market solution for product development. This is critical in an industry thriving on developing cutting-edge aggregation solutions while minimizing resources, and dramatically reducing valuable development time."

"Our customers benefit from knowing that our network search engines seamlessly support RMI's XLR Processor - making their platform design easier and more efficient," said Dave Cech, director of marketing for the IDT IP co-processor division. "We are proud to include RMI in our expanding ecosystem, solidifying IDT as the NSE vendor of choice for companies looking to develop integrated solutions that accelerate packet processing."

The family of IDT network search engines with fully integrated LA-1 interface include devices in 128Kx36 through 512Kx36 entry configurations with performance up to 250 million searches per second (MSPS). The family of LA-1 NSEs is supported by a rich feature set, including dynamic database management(TM) resulting in up to 70 percent power savings when compared to alternative solutions, aging for efficient table management, and multi-database lookup (MDL) which allows the user to issue a search in up to eight databases for improved NSE search performance capabilities. IDT also provides a family of high performance search accelerator products which can deliver up to one billion searches per second, enabling a broader range of next generation services for triple-play ready network applications up to 40Gbps and beyond.

RMI's XLR Processor eliminates the need for microcoding or proprietary programming models, and its industry-standard interfaces provide an extensive set of connectivity options. The XLR Processor is the perfect choice for solutions such as integrated security (firewall, VPN, anti-virus, intrusion detection and prevention), web services, virtualized storage, load balancing, server offload and intelligent routing and switching systems.
