ICCFA Show Draws Attention to Cemetery Vases

Theft of cemetery vases was a topic of great discussion at the International Cemetery, Cremation and Funeral Association yearly convention. Granger Plastics, the manufacturer of ForeverSafe products, exhibited at ICCFA show in Tampa, FL April 10-13. This was the company's debut at the show, touted as one of the largest in the industry. Granger released ForeverSafe Products, which includes a line of theft deterrent cemetery vases in September 2012 and is gaining great attention for it. The line was featured on Orlando's NBC station as a part of a story on rampant cemetery theft in the area.

ForeverSafe Products are rotationally molded from the highest quality polyethylene in colors designed to blend with metal and granite. This was not rotational moldings first entry into the cemetery product market, however focusing on theft is a less utilized application of polyethylene. Granger specializes in creating proprietary metallic and granite like finishes that minimize the fact that you are looking at another material. A ForeverSafe Cemetery Vase would appear to be metal to the naked eye, but the weight and texture of the product once handled would indicate it was not.

The Orlando area has seen a rash of high quantity thefts lately, but cemetery theft is rampant across the country.  Bronze vases are commonly taken 100 or more at a time and turned in to the local scrap yard for pennies on the dollar. Legislation about this growing crime has been sparse and largely ineffective. Patrons who are victim to the theft of a cemetery vase are usually left with the cost of replacement. Fearing a repeat of the theft, a growing number of families are opting to choose alternative materials for their replacement cemetery vases. ForeverSafe replacement vases are custom fit to the manufacturer of the marker or canister, so the fit is uncompromised. The vases will also turn down into the canister when not in use, a requirement by many cemeteries.

ForeverSafe Products was exposed to many in the industry interested in giving the option of high quality but much less expensive cemetery flower vases to offer the victimized patrons. The ICCFA conference includes members from funeral homes, cemeteries and crematories to offer the largest exposure possible in one conference.

Granger Industries utilizes plastic to make high quality but cost effective products for many industries.  A world renown rotational molding leader and in business for almost two decades, Granger Industries has never seen a greater interest in theft deterrent products including ForeverSafe cemetery products.
