Additional information/conditions

The amount of the credit represents a combination of the Fair Market Value (FMV) of the Replaced Machine and an additional incentive. To determine the FMV of the Replaced Machine, contact your IGF representative.

Upon shipment of the Replacement Machine, you will be billed the single unit purchase price less any applicable discounts or allowances for which you qualify. You will receive your credit after the Replaced Machine has been returned to IBM.

Participation in this trade-in promotion is in lieu of trade-in activity under any other trade-in promotion.

The lessee of a Replaced Machine financed by IBM Global Financing must purchase the Replaced Machine and pay all related charges before returning it to IBM.

A Replaced Machine currently under an Installation Payment Agreement (IPA) or an Installment Payment Master Agreement (IPMA) must be paid for in full by the customer before returning it to IBM.

IBM reserves the right to modify or withdraw this promotion at any time.

This promotion is subject to the terms and conditions of any applicable Agreements.

In Canada, you are responsible for all applicable taxes such as Goods and Services Tax (GST), Quebec Sales Tax (QST), and other sales or value-added taxes which are extra.

Your responsibilities

Have the Replaced Machine installed in a qualifying location as of the date of signing the ICA Attachment or Transaction Document.

Install the Replacement Machine in the same Enterprise where the Replaced Machine was installed within the United States and its territories, and Canada.

Have clear title to the Replaced Machine, free of any encumbrances, at the time it is picked up by IBM's designated carrier.

Contact your IBM representative to schedule pickup of the Replaced Machine no later than 4 months following the Date of Installation of the Replacement Machine. The Replaced Machine must be available for pickup by IBM's carrier when you contact your IBM representative.

IBM will not pay for shipping costs if any other means of return is used.

Return the Replaced Machine, in the same configuration (machine type, model, and all features) as installed on the date you signed the appropriate Agreement.

Remove any alterations, non-IBM attachments, and data from Replaced Machines. Any IBM service charges incurred in this process or in preparing the machine for pickup are your responsibility.

Disconnect the Replaced Machine before pickup. All associated items such as cables, logic manuals, kickplates, terminators, and power cords should be packed with the Replaced Machines. IBM's carrier will prepare the machine for shipment at the time of pickup. It is not necessary for IBM Service to pack the machine for shipment. If you request that IBM prepare the machine for shipment, you will be billed for this service.

For returned machines in the United States, ensure that "IBM i5 Model 520 trade-in promotion" appears on both the return shipping label and the trucking company's bill of lading. If "IBM i5 Model 520 trade-in promotion" does not appear on the shipping label and the bill of lading, you may be charged for the return and disposal of the returned machine.

For returned machines in Canada, ensure that the Returns Material Authorization (RMA) number appears on both the return shipping label and the trucking company's bill of lading. If the RMA number does not appear on the shipping label and the bill of lading, you may be charged for the return and disposal of the returned machine.

Request that maintenance coverage, if any, and software licenses installed on the Replaced Machine be discontinued or transferred, as appropriate.

Ensure that the Replaced Machine is in working order on the day it is picked up.
