IAPD Honors Jane Saale of Cope Plastics, Inc. with the 2016 Paul Davis Award of Merit
Overland Park, KSÂ - The International Association of Plastics Distribution (IAPD), the international trade association comprised of companies engaged in the distribution and manufacture of plastic stock shapes and pipe, valves and fittings, has named Jane Saale as its 2016 Paul Davis Award of Merit recipient.
On behalf of IAPD and the plastics distribution industry, Saale received the prestigious Paul Davis Award of Merit for 2016 at IAPD's Annual Convention in Phoenix, AZ, USA. Presented by Dale Delmage of Nylatech, Inc., the 2015 Paul Davis Award of Merit recipient, Saale was honored for her many years of outstanding personal and professional contributions to the association and the plastics industry.
Saale has served the association in many ways over the years, by volunteering on the Industry Research and Benchmarking Committee, the IAPD Charitable Foundation Board of Trustees, the Convention and Expo Committee, the Nominating Committee, the Board of Directors and the Executive Committee. She was elected as IAPD’s first woman president in 2012. During her two-year presidency, she oversaw many of the improvements currently benefitting the association. Since fulfilling her duties as president, she has gone on to do yet more important work on behalf of the association in her role as a volunteer on the Nominating Committee, which is responsible for recommending the most promising people to fulfill leadership roles in the association.

Avery, CAE. “When faced with a disruption in the succession of the Executive Committee, Jane agreed to serve a second year as president. Her leadership guided the board and has set up IAPD for future success. Jane is also a role model for many IAPD company leaders in terms of supporting the association by encouraging her employees to volunteer. Even while running a busy company, she understands the personal and professional development benefits of this involvement and encourages her employees to volunteer on IAPD committees. Because of her example, numerous Cope employees are helping with the work of the association year round.”
