Hydraulic Institute Announces 2015 Young Engineer of the Year: Patrick Hogg, Product Manager Nidec Motor Corporation Receives Honor



Parsippany, NJ,  – The Hydraulic Institute (HI) recognized and honored Patrick Hogg, Product Manager, Nidec Motor Corporation, as HI’s Young Engineer of the Year award recipient. The award was presented to Mr. Hogg during HI’s 2016 Annual conference in Tucson, Arizona.



The Young Engineer award was established to recognize the efforts and contributions of engineers from member companies and Standard Partners who have made a significant impact within their current position and have also contributed to the advancement of the work of the Hydraulic Institute. Engineers under the age of 40 (as of January 1 the year of nomination) are eligible for this award.



Patrick has been involved with HI since 2013, is a member of 10 committees, an educational webinar instructor, and holds leadership positions on three committees:



  • Chairman – Drivers Application Guidebook


  • Vice Chairman – (HI 40.5) Pump & Extended Product Labeling Committee


  • Sub-committee leader – Drivers Sub-committee Variable Speed Pumping Guidebook
