Huawei and Comtech EF Data Jointly Announce the Launch of an Integrated Satellite Solution Platform for Premium Enterprise Network Services

TEMPE, Ariz. and SHENZHEN, China – Huawei, a leading global information and communications technology (ICT) solutions provider, and Comtech EF Data Corporation, a leading integrated SatCom infrastructure solutions provider, today announced the launch of an integrated satellite network solution platform for Premium Enterprise Network services following a successful interoperability test of Comtech EF Data's Advanced VSAT Solutions and Huawei's communication equipment including AR series routers, unified communications, telepresence and video monitoring equipment for emergency communications and restoral application.
The test, which took place in Suzhou, China, was conducted on an IP level for integrated voice, data and video applications, which also involved the switchover and backup of multiple links with Huawei's communication system and Comtech EF Data's Advanced VSAT solution consisting of the CDM 800, CDM 840 and CDD 880 models. System link throughput, latency, jitter and packet loss characteristics were measured during the test.
The combination of the two company's solutions significantly improved transmission efficiency, guaranteed transmission of high priority traffic, and supported backup and rapid switchover between satellite links even in bandwidth-limited scenarios.
The results of the interoperability testing proved compatibility of Huawei's communications system and Comtech EF Data's Advanced VSAT Solutions to meet the high quality service requirements in Premium Network Services and Mobile backhaul solutions over satellite.
