Horton Appoints Geert Henk Touw as Interim President and CEO


ROSEVILLE, Minn.-Horton, Inc. has appointed Geert Henk Touw as interim president and chief executive officer. Touw has served on Horton's board of directors for more than two years.

Touw brings to this position more than four decades of international industry experience. He was senior vice president Asia Pacific, and managing director, vice president and general manager Europe, Middle East and Africa at Donaldson Company, Inc. Touw spent 21 years at Bloomington, Minn.-based Donaldson Company, a leading worldwide provider of filtration systems and replacement parts, including on-road and off-road filtration technology for engines.

Prior to his time at Donaldson, Touw held various senior international and operations assignments at McQuay International, formerly McQuay-Perfex, Inc. a leading manufacturer of heating, ventilating, air conditioning, refrigeration and building management equipment and systems for commercial, industrial and residential markets as well as a broad range of industrial heat transfer products including engine cooling systems.

Touw serves on the boards of Bellcomb Technologies, Inc. and the Minnesota International Center. He is a fellow of the Institute of Directors, Chartered Management Institute and Chartered Institute of Marketing (all of the United Kingdom); and a member of the Association for Corporate Growth, Association of MBA Executives and National Association of Corporate Directors (all of the United States). Touw is a graduate of the University of London. He has lived in the United Kingdom, the Netherlands, Belgium and Malta. He currently resides in Minnesota.
