HONEYWELL SELECTED BY OMNOVA SOLUTIONS INC. FOR PROCESS AUTOMATION UPGRADE

PHOENIX, Jan. 31, 2005 - Honeywell (NYSE: HON) announced today it has been awarded a contract with Fairlawn, Ohio-based OMNOVA Solutions Inc. to upgrade the specialty chemical and polymer producer's process control systems. Honeywell will replace OMNOVA's aging legacy systems at its performance chemicals facilities with Experion® Process Knowledge System (PKS). OMNOVA's Green Bay, Wis., plant is the first of five sites to undergo the upgrade.

We assessed Honeywell's Experion PKS solution for its ability to provide the control, batch and data management features required to meet the business needs of our chemical operations," said Kathy Vanderheyden, director of operations at OMNOVA Solutions' Green Bay plant.
