Hollaender® Completes Purchase of Newman Brothers, Inc.'s Architectural Railing Business
CINCINNATI, OH (November 21, 2016) – Hollaender Manufacturing, a leading manufacturer of architectural aluminum railing systems, has completed the purchase of Cincinnati, Ohio based Newman Brothers’ railing business. The transaction was completed on October 21, 2016, and includes all aspects of the business including designs. Hollaender has hired key engineering and manufacturing personnel from Newman Brothers to ensure a successful transition.
Newman Brothers’ key handrail product lines, including Econo-Rail structural glass railing, and several models of stainless steel railing and handrail will now be available under the brand “Newman by Hollaender”. Hollaender will market and manufacture the line using the same processes the company currently uses for their other architectural railing lines – Interna-Rail®, Speed–Rail®, Interna-Rail VUE and Interna-Rail KLEAR.
All production will be moved to Hollaender’s manufacturing plant, also in Cincinnati, Ohio.
The acquisition gives Hollaender the ability to engineer and produce complex geometries of monumental stair, helical radius, compound radius, and other handrail systems.

Newman Brothers, Inc. will continue as an on-going business, as a manufacturer of metal plaques, markers and memorials.
Newman Brothers was founded in 1882 as a foundry and transitioned into the architectural railing business in the 1930’s. The company grew to become a leading designer and manufacturer of decorative stainless steel railings, with a focus on glass infill and glass supported railings, also called structural glass railing.
