HI Announces Paul Ruzicka as 2015 Member of the Year.

Feb 29, 2016 - Hydraulic Institute (HI) named Paul Ruzicka as its 2015 Member of the Year for his commitment to HI in leading and actively participating in various HI committees in advancement of HI's technical work as well as guiding young engineers. Ruzicka held leadership positions on 10+ technical and education committees over past 2 years. In 2015, he supported industry as HI's technical representative at DOE's public hearing regarding the proposed energy conservation standard for pumps.

Hydraulic Institute Announces 2015 Member of the Year Award; Paul Ruzicka, Global COE Residential, Commercial Waste Water and Chief Engineer, Xylem Inc. - Applied Water Systems Receives Honor

Parsippany, NJ – The Hydraulic Institute named Paul Ruzicka, Global COE Residential, Commercial Waste Water and Chief Engineer, Xylem Inc. - Applied Water Systems as its 2015 Member of the Year.  The award was conferred to Mr. Ruzicka at the Hydraulic Institute’s 2016 Annual conference held recently in Tucson, Arizona.

The HI Board of Directors selected Ruzicka for his superior commitment to the Hydraulic Institute in both leading and actively participating in numerous HI committees in the advancement of the Institute’s technical work as well as in guiding young engineers within the Institute’s extensive technical organization.

He has held leadership positions on more than 10 technical and education committees over the past two years and in 2015 went above and beyond to support the industry as HI’s technical representative at DOE’s public hearing regarding the proposed energy conservation standard for pumps.

He currently holds leadership positions as:
• Chair of (ANSI/HI 11.6) Rotodynamic Submersible Pump Test
• Co-Chair of (HI 40.6 DOE) Methods for Rotodynamic Pump Efficiency Testing
• Co-Chair of (ANSI/HI 14.4) - Rotodynamic Pump IOM
• Co-Chair of DOE Final Rule Review Committee
• Co-Chair of DOE Regulation Education Committee
• Vice-chair of (ANSI/HI 14.3) - Rotodynamic Pump Design & Application
