Hewitt Molding Achieves Workplace Safety Recognition

INDIANAPOLIS  – Hewitt Molding Company in Oakford, Ind. has been recognized as a certified Indiana Safety and Health Achievement Recognition Program (INSHARP) site. INSHARP certified sites are proven employee safety and health leaders.

“To achieve this designation, companies must proactively address worker safety and health,” said Indiana Department of Labor (IDOL) Commissioner Rick J. Ruble. “The Indiana Department of Labor commends Hewitt Molding’s efforts to ensure a safe and healthy working environment.”

Hewitt Molding celebrated their INSHARP certification with an open-house today.

To participate in INSHARP, a company must develop, implement and maintain an exemplary worker safety and health management system and pass a comprehensive safety and health evaluation by the IDOL. In addition, the facility’s occupational injury and illness rates must be below the national industry average. Less than 50 Indiana employers have achieved INSHARP certification.
